he Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Endocrinología y Diabetología (SPED) proudly commemorates its 50th anniversary with a landmark scientific meeting: “Endocrinology Then, Now, and Next: Celebrating 50 Years of Progress.”
The purpose of this educational activity is to provide an evidence-based update on advances in endocrinology that have significantly improved the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of endocrine disorders. This scientific meeting celebrates five decades of progress in endocrine science, clinical care, and medical education, highlighting major breakthroughs that have transformed the field over the past fifty years while exploring emerging scientific advances that will shape its future.
Throughout this three-day meeting, distinguished local and international faculty will address key developments across endocrinology, including obesity and emerging therapies, artificial intelligence and big data, thyroid dysfunction and thyroid cancer, hypercortisolism, automated insulin delivery and diabetes technology, cardiorenal protection, precision diabetes care, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, endocrine surgery, and the future…
