About the event
In recognition of World Diabetes Day 2026, the Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Endocrinología y Diabetología (SPED) invites healthcare professionals to a comprehensive educational program focused on “Preventing Diabetes Complications Across the Continuum of Care.”
This scientific session will explore evidence-based strategies to prevent and reduce diabetes-related complications throughout the continuum of care. Expert faculty will address key topics including the 2026 Standards of Care for Type 2 Diabetes, cardiovascular disease prevention, obesity management, diabetic foot complications and amputation prevention, kidney protection, and the relationship between oral and metabolic health.
Through expert presentations and interactive discussions, participants will gain practical insights to support earlier intervention, comprehensive risk reduction, and improved outcomes for people living with or at risk for diabetes.
